Matthew is originally from the Fort Wayne, Indiana area and joined SCO in January 2020.  As a Portfolio Manager, he works with busy professionals to own their time, own their financial strategy and own their future.  He is a highly sought-after professional speaker and the author of several white papers including The Right Order and The Power of the Roth IRA.   Matthew utilizes individual stocks, bonds and exchange traded funds to build customized portfolios for clients and guides them to achieve their long-term financial goals.  As of December 2021, Matthew is a shareholder and part owner of SCO.

Matthew began his career as a public accountant for Crowe (formerly Crowe Chizek & Company) where he worked four years.  His next work opportunity was at JPMorgan Chase where he served as an Internal Auditor.  He followed his passion to help people by working from June 2006 through December 2019 at Steele Investment Counsel, Ltd., mostly as a Portfolio Manager. 

Matthew successfully completed all three levels of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) examinations in three consecutive years and obtained the CFA Charter in 2010.  In 2007, he earned his CPA and holds the Series 65 - Uniform Investment Advisor Law license. 

Matthew graduated from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana with a dual major in Business Management and Accounting and a minor in Finance.  He resides with his wife and four young boys in Powell, Ohio.  His rambunctious boys keep him occupied in many outdoor activities such as biking, hiking and golf.  He is an active member in the St. Brigid of Kildare Knights of Columbus Council where he has served as a Past Grand Knight.
