David L. Shuttleworth - Founder, President & Senior Portfolio Manager
Originally from Akron, Ohio, Dave Shuttleworth has been an avid investor for most of his adult life. He founded Shuttleworth & Company in March of 1999 and continues to act as its President and Senior Portfolio Manager. He developed SCO’s service model , investment strategy and fee-only pricing structure. Dave offers his diverse clientele hands-on counsel, and oversees the management and operations of the firm. Dave’s expertise spans the investment advisory profession. He works with his clients on financial and retirement planning, taxation and portfolio management .
Prior to founding Shuttleworth & Company Dave graduated cum laude from The Ohio State University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He is a Certified Public Accountant (non-active, Ohio) and worked in both public and private sectors for 20 years before starting a career as a portfolio manager.
Dave is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. In his free time, he is active in charitable organizations and volunteering for cancer support groups. He enjoys the outdoors, hiking, golf, tennis, and traveling with his friends, family, and rescue dog, Schatzi.
